Killarney provides three superb inland courses, and is centrally located for access to the links courses that this part of Ireland is famed for. A golfing break in Kerry can provide you with challenges such as Killarney's Killeen cours, Waterville, Tralee and of course, the legendary links at Ballybunion. In addition to these memorable courses,there are also many other excellent 18 Hole courses in Kerry, such as Dooks, Beaufort, Ring of Kerry, Scellig Bay, Ceann Sibeal, Kenmare and Parknasilla. All these courses can be reached within an hour and a half drive from our holiday homes.

In the immeadiate Killarney area, in addition to the three 18 hole courses at Killarney Golf and Fishing Club, there are also three excellent nine hole courses, at Ross Golf Club, Castlerosse and Gap of Dunloe.

  • Ballybunion Golf Club
    The old course is consistently rated amongst the top ten courses in the world while the new Cashen Course is thought to be even more demanding. In 2005 Ballybunion was ranked by Golf Digest as the seventh best course in the world outside the United States.
  • Waterville Golf Club
    Situated on the Ring of Kerry, Waterville is rated among the top 5 courses in Ireland and the top 20 links courses in the world. The links golf combines sand dunes gorse and native grasses, firm fairways, sod faced bunkers and subtle putting surfaces all intertwined by the ever changing weather
  • Tralee Golf club
    Situated on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean with its rolling waves Tralee Golf course is a joy to behold. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the course has a view of the sea from every hole. The early holes can easily give you the feeling that mastering the course is well within your grasp. However when you have completed the back nine and reached the comfort of the nineteenth you will know that you have played one of the most magnificent links courses in the world.
